This policy applies to data contained on the Rangeley Library web site, the phone book that we publish in hardcopy, as well as our Phonebook Application available both on Google's Play Store and Apple's iTunes.

We publish a phone book for use by members of the community. The data contained in the phone book is made up of data that has been voluntarily provided by individuals via submission of paper forms, telephone conversations, or emails. In each case, the submission is knowing and voluntary. We also license data from telephone companies that service our region. Our use of that data is consistent with our license agreement.

We publish an application for use on smart phones. That application doesn't collect any data at all. We collect no usage, location, contacts, or dialing information. We do request user permission to interact with contacts and the phone dialer on the phone. These permissions enable application capabilities including the ability to push a contact from the phone book to the phone's contact database and to facilitate the dialing of a number contained in the phone book.

We never sell your data, nor do we ever share it with third parties.

Should you wish to opt out of the phone book, simply contact the library at 207-864-5529 or director@rangeleylibrary.org and we will remove your data from future editions of our publications. We would also recommend that you contact the local phone company and request that your listing data be marked "do not publish".
