We have a small, but dedicated staff that, along with numerous volunteers, operates the library.
We have experience with:
As the library director, Janet handles administrative duties, selects new library resources, plans adult programs, publishes the monthly online newsletter, and oversees the daily running of the library. Interacting with patrons is a highlight of her job.
When not at the library, Janet enjoys spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids, as well as with her church family. Swimming, reading, and quilting are some of her favorite pastimes.
As the library circulation technician, Pat assists patrons at the main desk. Her other duties include facilitating interlibrary loans and helping to coordinate the library volunteers.
In her spare time, Pat always enjoys walking her dogs, gardening in the summer and reading in the winter.
As Children’s Librarian, Jan plans and leads all of the children’s programs including OWL Club, Preschool Story Hour, and the Summer Reading Program. Jan strives to help the children develop a love of learning, especially reading. She can be seen creating projects with glue, glitter, paint, yarn, or whatever can be recycled for a new purpose.
When not at the library, Jan enjoys living in Industry, Maine where she has two small cabins: an uninsulated one for summer, and a second one with a wood stove and insulation for winter. Neither has electricity or running water! Jan loves to collect things, especially wild blackberries.
We serve our community and are completely committed to providing outstanding service to all.
There are many resources available using the Internet and online resources. We will help you discover and utilize them.
We are committed to offering clean, safe, exciting spaces. Everyone, from kids to elders, should be able to enjoy this community space.
